Welcome to KineXi

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KineXi mobile application ("App", "KineXi", "we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using KineXi, you agree to these Terms.

KineXi is a personal finance tracking app designed for manual entry. We believe in keeping things simple, private, and transparent — these Terms reflect that.

Using KineXi

KineXi is a tool to help you track your personal finances. You may use it for any lawful purpose, including:

• Recording income and expenses
• Managing accounts and budgets
• Tracking bills and subscriptions
• Monitoring investments and net worth
• Journaling and personal notes
• Using on-device AI features for insights

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. KineXi does not verify, validate, or guarantee the accuracy of any financial information displayed in the App.

Your Data, Your Responsibility

KineXi stores all data locally on your device. We do not have access to your data, which means:

• We cannot recover your data if you delete the app, lose your device, or experience data corruption without a backup.
• You are responsible for creating and maintaining backups of your data.
• If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's terms. We do not control or have access to your iCloud storage.

We strongly recommend enabling iCloud sync or creating regular backups through Settings > Privacy & Data > Data Settings.

No Financial Advice

KineXi is a tracking and organizational tool, not a financial advisor. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

• AI-generated insights are informational only and should not be relied upon for financial decisions.
• Budget suggestions, spending analyses, and financial health scores are based solely on the data you enter and are not professional assessments.
• Always consult a qualified financial professional for financial decisions.

We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in KineXi.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Attempt to bypass any security features or access restrictions
• Use the App to store or process data on behalf of third parties in a commercial capacity without our consent
• Misuse the feedback system (spam, abusive content, or impersonation)
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App

Intellectual Property

KineXi, including its design, code, AI models, glass design system, icons, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.

• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• This license does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property in the App.
• The KineXi name, logo, and branding are our trademarks and may not be used without permission.

On-Device AI

KineXi uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models for AI features. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

• AI outputs (categorization suggestions, spending insights, mood analysis, etc.) are generated automatically and may not always be accurate.
• AI processing happens entirely on your device — no data is sent to external AI services.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
• You should review and verify AI suggestions before relying on them.

Third-Party Services

KineXi does not integrate with third-party data services. However, certain features rely on Apple platform services:

• iCloud & CloudKit — Optional data sync, governed by Apple's Terms of Service
• App Store — App distribution and updates, governed by Apple's Media Services Terms
• Apple Foundation Models — On-device AI processing, governed by Apple's software license agreement

We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or terms of these Apple services.

Feedback & Community

When you use the Share Feedback feature, you may submit bug reports, feature requests, and votes. By submitting feedback:

• You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, adapt, and implement your suggestions in KineXi.
• We are not obligated to implement any feedback or feature requests.
• An anonymous identifier is used to track your votes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• Abusive, offensive, or spam submissions may be removed without notice.

Availability & Updates

• KineXi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
• We may release updates that add features, fix bugs, or change functionality.
• We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any feature at any time.
• Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of any modified Terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• KineXi is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
• We are not liable for any loss of data, financial loss, or damages resulting from:
  • Data corruption or loss due to device failure, software bugs, or user error
  • Reliance on AI-generated insights or suggestions
  • Inability to access your data due to device loss, app deletion, or iCloud issues
• Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

• You may stop using KineXi at any time by deleting the App from your device.
• We reserve the right to revoke access to community features (feedback, voting) if these Terms are violated.
• Upon deletion, your locally stored data is removed with the App. iCloud data can be managed through your iCloud settings.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

For significant changes, we will update the App's release notes to notify users.
