Dashboard

Your financial command center — everything important at a glance.

SafeToSpend

The SafeToSpend card is the hero of your dashboard. It answers the single most useful question in personal finance: how much can I spend right now without blowing my budget?

KineXi calculates it by subtracting your total spending for the current period from your total budget allocation. The result updates in real time every time you log a transaction.

  • Green — you have comfortable room remaining
  • Amber — you're past the halfway point of your budget
  • Red — you've exceeded your budget for this period

Tapping the card takes you to a full budget breakdown by category, so you can see exactly where the money went.

Widget Carousel

Below the SafeToSpend card is a horizontal carousel of insight widgets. Each widget surfaces a different financial signal — upcoming bills, recent spending patterns, goal progress, and more.

You can customize which widgets appear and reorder them from Settings → Dashboard. Drag to reorder, toggle the switch to show or hide each widget.

Quick-Add

Open Home and tap the + button in the top toolbar to add a transaction. Review the amount, account, and category before saving.

The keyboard accessory toolbar above the keyboard gives you one-tap access to common amounts, categories, and the voice input button.

Essentials Mode

Essentials Mode strips the dashboard down to only the SafeToSpend card and your recent transactions. Nudges, insights, bill-detection banners, and subscription prompts are all hidden.

Toggle it from Settings → Dashboard → Essentials Mode. It's designed for people who prefer a distraction-free view.

Insights & Nudges

When you have enough transaction history, the dashboard surfaces spending pattern cards and behavioral nudges. These are generated entirely on-device — no data leaves your phone.

Nudges appear at most once per day and include streak celebrations, over-budget warnings, and time-pattern observations (e.g., "You tend to spend more on weekends").
