Notes & Journal

Reflect on your financial journey with AI-powered journaling tools.

Note Types

KineXi supports several types of notes, each designed for a different purpose:

  • Quick Note — a free-form text note, ideal for capturing a thought or reminder
  • Journal Entry — a dated reflection with AI-generated prompts to guide your writing
  • Checklist — a list with completable items, great for financial to-dos
  • Financial Reflection — a structured entry triggered by budget events (e.g., going over budget)

Open Notes using the note icon at the top of Home, then choose a capture action to create a note, journal entry, or task.

AI Prompts

On supported devices with Apple Intelligence enabled, journal prompts can help you reflect on your recent financial activity. For example:

  • "You went over your food budget this week — what happened?"
  • "You saved more than usual this month. What made the difference?"
  • "Your spending was unusually high on Friday evenings. Is that intentional?"

Prompts are optional — you can dismiss them and write freely. All prompt generation happens on-device using your transaction data.

On This Day

The On This Day card surfaces notes and journal entries you wrote on the same calendar date in previous years. Look for it in Notes when relevant memories exist.

This feature is designed to help you see your financial growth over time — how your spending, goals, and mindset have changed.

Mind Map

Open More → Mind Map from the menu within Notes to explore connections between your notes. Supported on-device analysis can group related themes.

You can:

  • Pinch to zoom and drag to navigate the graph
  • Tap a node to open the note
  • Filter by connection type using the filter sheet
  • See AI-detected clusters — groups of related notes highlighted together

Tasks & Focus Timer

Open Tasks from Notes to manage tasks and due dates. Upcoming tasks also appear on the Notes home screen.

Tap any task to start a Focus Timer — a Pomodoro-style countdown that keeps you on track. When the session ends, KineXi plays a completion sound and optionally logs the session in your journal.
