Currency & Region

Set your default currency in Settings → Currency. This affects how amounts are displayed throughout the app. KineXi supports all major currencies.

If you hold accounts in multiple currencies, review the approximation indicators on combined totals. Missing rates can make a total approximate. See Portfolio & Net Worth for details.

Calm Mode

Calm Mode is designed for people who find constant financial metrics stressful. When enabled:

• Exact amounts in insights are replaced with softer language ("spending more than usual" instead of specific numbers)
• Red color accents are muted
• Behavioral nudges use gentler framing
• Over-budget alerts are toned down

Toggle from Settings → Calm Mode.

Essentials Mode

Essentials Mode simplifies the dashboard by hiding:

• Behavioral nudge cards
• Insight and pattern cards
• Bill detection banners
• Subscription upsell prompts
• Timeline and calendar widgets

Only the SafeToSpend card and recent transactions remain. Toggle from Settings → Dashboard → Essentials Mode.

Widgets

KineXi offers widgets for these summaries and shortcuts; available sizes vary by widget:

• Financial Dashboard — an overview of your finances
• Spending Insights — spending summaries
• Budget Progress — your budget progress
• Net Worth — your total net worth in one number
• Financial Mindfulness — a moment to reflect
• Journal — a shortcut to writing
• Tasks — your task list

To add a widget: long-press your home screen → tap + → search for KineXi. Widget data updates automatically after you log transactions.

Notifications

Manage which notifications KineXi can send from Settings → Notifications:

• Budget threshold alerts (50%, 80%, 100%)
• Bill due reminders
• Savings goal milestones
• Weekly check-in nudge (Mondays)

Each category can be toggled independently.

Achievements

KineXi awards badges for financial milestones — logging your first transaction, staying under budget for a full month, building a 7-day streak, and more.

View your earned and locked badges in More → Achievements. Locked badges show the criteria needed to unlock them.

KineXi Pro

KineXi is free to download, with optional purchases for KineXi Pro. The in-app upgrade screen shows the current features and free-tier limits, including:

• Expanded limits for accounts, budgets, and savings goals
• Additional analysis and export options as listed in the app

Review available plans, local prices, billing periods, and any trial eligibility on the upgrade screen before purchasing. Use Restore Purchases for eligible purchases made with the same Apple Account. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Apple subscription settings.
